Port Access to Tenn-Tom Waterway
The 234-mile Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway delivers a low-cost, reliable option for moving raw materials, bulk goods, and finished products. Recognized as a national marine highway, it connects the region to 4,500 miles of inland waterways across 23 central U.S. states to the Gulf of Mexico.
The Lowndes County Port, located in Columbus, Mississippi, is served by US Highway 82 and US 45. It has direct access to the Class 1 Kansas City Southern rail line. The port includes the following services:

Rail Transportation

Golden Triangle Railroad (GTRA)

Marshalling Yard in West Point
A yard in West Point provides rail access that connects to the BNSF, CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Union Pacific networks. All major industrial areas are connected to the main arteries by rail spurs.
Air Transportation
The Golden Triangle Regional Airport offers daily flights to Atlanta’s international airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, providing global accessibility with unprecedented ease.
Additionally, three international airports lie within two and a half hours of the GTR region, providing convenient travel options.
