The Communiversity at EMCC

The Communiversity, operated by East Mississippi Community College’s (EMCC) Workforce Services Division, offers specialized training programs tailored to the needs of advanced manufacturers through a collaboration with Mississippi State University. It is located in Columbus, Mississippi, in Lowndes County.

Workforce Training Public Courses

EMCC offers classes created in partnership with local businesses to help individuals acquire the skills necessary for employment or career advancement. Programs and classes include leadership and team building, machining, industrial welding, HVAC, computer-aided design, advanced manufacturing, applied engineering, and more.

Career Technical Programs

Through the Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Division, EMCC offers high-quality, career-technical education programs focused on modern manufacturing. These programs combine rigorous technical education with hands-on experience and industry-recognized credentials to give students an advantage in the job market.  Programs include engineering technology, precision manufacturing and machining technology, welding technology, automotive technology, and more.

Customized Training for Industry

EMCC’s Workforce Services Division collaborates with local businesses to help them recruit, train, and retain talented employees. EMCC connects local industries with the skilled workers they need to grow, innovate, and succeed.

Mississippi State University
